Meet Dr. Robert J. Sieman
Dr. Sieman was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio – an area known to locals as “The Steel Valley.” Historically, it was the largest steel producing region in the world. He is from a modest background – his family coming from a coal patch south of Pittsburgh and a village in southern Poland. As a teenager, he relocated to the Chatham area where he stayed and pursued his education. Prior to attending dental school, he worked for Pfizer, Inc. and the National Starch and Chemical Company, Inc.
Dr. Sieman earned his bachelors degree in biology from Rutgers University. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Dental School, where he graduated near the top of his class. He then completed his post doctorate training in Endodontics at New Jersey Dental School.
Dr. Sieman is currently on staff at Overlook Hospital where he teaches and lectures to dental residents on the various aspects of endodontics. He holds professional memberships with the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontist, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association, as well as involvement in local dental study clubs.
Dr. Sieman has been happily married to his wife, Wendy, for over 20 years. They are the proud parents of a daughter, Lindsey, and three sons, Daniel, Matthew, and Luke. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, traveling, and is an avid ice hockey and Bruce Springsteen fan.
